How does a self-heating mug work?
The KASA HeatMug Pro heats your drink while it sits on its wireless charging pad, which plugs in by USB-C. It is designed to keep your drink at about 55°C (130°F), with up to 18W of heating output. The LED display shows the temperature in °C or °F, controlled with a single button.
How long does the battery last?
The KASA HeatBox Pro runs for up to approximately 100 minutes on a full charge of its 12,000mAh battery, and takes approximately 6–7 hours to recharge. Running time varies with the amount of food, its starting temperature, the surroundings, the battery level and how it is used. The KASA HeatMug Pro heats while it sits on its charging pad.
Can it heat food or only drinks?
Both, with different products: the KASA HeatBox Pro heats food and the KASA HeatMug Pro keeps hot drinks warm. The HeatBox Pro is a 1.6L rechargeable lunch box with a 304 stainless-steel food container that heats your meal and keeps it warm without a power point. The KASA Heat & Go Combo (A$289.95) includes both, plus the Thermal Carry Pro bag.
Is it safe to leave on?
The KASA HeatMug Pro goes into standby automatically after about 4 hours without activity, for safety and to save power. Place the mug centrally on its charging pad, and never submerge the pad or expose it to excess water. Full safety instructions are in the HeatMug Pro manual, and the HeatBox Pro comes with its own user manual.
Does the HeatMug Pro need an app?
No. The KASA HeatMug Pro has no pairing, no account and no app to install: one button and an LED display.
